Main Functions

1. Enforcement of Fisheries Act and Regulations, Chapter 61 and Brunei Fishery Limits Act, Chapter 130;
2. Planning, surveillance and control of fishing activities in Brunei Darussalam waters;
3. Monitoring and inspection of imported, exported and transit of fish at Custom and Immigration check points and fish landing areas;
4. Monitoring and surveillance of fish landing activities at fish landing areas;
5. Processing applications, surveillance, inspection and issuing licence for artisanal fishing gears, import, exports, transits of fishes and licence for fish farms and processing buildings;
6. Managing the Fish Landing Complex, Muara.
