Main Functions
The Post-harvest
Development and Quality Assurance Division or PDQA Division is an
equally important division for the department. Its main role is to ensure
the maximization use of the resources be it from capture, aquaculture or
the seafood processing industry. This is done through, among others,:

Verify,
improve and transfer technologies for the production of competitive
value-added products and traditional products,
-
Ensure
the sustainable development of seafood processing industry,
-
Identify
and promote local seafood products domestically and abroad,
-
Control
and ensure the quality of produce, seeds and cleanliness of processing
plants, water and the environment, and
-
Issue
Health Attestation Certificate.
In
order for the division to function effectively, it has two sections
whose responsibilities are directed to ensure the full realization of the
division’s role. The two sections are:

1. The division together with all the two sections are based at the Fisheries Landing Complex, Serasa, Muara.

The goal of this activity is
to develop and expand the continuous supply and marketing of quality fish
produce.

Export Center (HUB)
The goal of this activity is
to provide seafood processing facilities and catalytic mechanisms for
the overall development and expansion of seafood industry.
