The Belait / Tutong / Temburong
Fisheries Section main role is to give support services to other divisions
and sections of the Fisheries Department.
Main Functions
- Providing facilities for the development of Fisheries Industry in
Belait, Tutong and Temburong Districts;
- Giving services to fisheries operators and fishermen in the
Belait,
Tutong and Temburong Districts
:-
- Selling ice;
- Renting Chill Room;
- Issuing Fisheries Licenses :-
- Licensing Import Aquarium Fish;
- Licensing Import/Export;
- Licensing Fishing Gear;
- Licensing for Own Consumption :-
- Fish;
- Crustacea;
- Molluscs;
- Other aquatic products;
- Mobile Technical Unit :-
- Monitor and giving
assistance and technical advice to fisheries operators and
fishermen in the Belait / Tutong / Temburong Districts;
- Gather local and import
market data at Belait / Seria / Tutong / Temburong outlets;
- Monitor loading places of
fishes in the Belait / Tutong / Temburong Districts;
- Assess and recommend new
applications for or renewal of license for small scale
fisheries industry in Belait / Tutong / Temburong Districts;
- To supply seawater to all shrimp
farm operators in Keramut, Telisai, Tutong.
- The Sections is tasked to
monitor, control and enforce the rules and regulations of Fisheries
Act Chapter 61 & Chapter 130.

get the licenses at Belait Fisheries Centre / Fisheries Tutong / Fisheries
Temburong during
office hours which is :-
Monday - Thursday and
Saturday
(08:00 am to 12:00 pm and 01:30 pm to 03:00 pm)
