Main Functions

• Planning and implementation of the development project for the shrimp aquaculture industry in Negara Brunei Darussalam;

• Processing and evaluating the applications for shrimp aquaculture project as well as application for crab culture and production;

• Monitor the operation and development of shrimp aquaculture sites and also the crab culture and production site;

• Advice the applicant on the viability of the shrimp aquaculture project and also application on crab culture and production;

• Advice and assist the farmers in the preparation of financial cash flow and project proposal for shrimp aquaculture industry project for the application financial loan scheme (Enterprise Facilitating Loan - SKP or Micro credit Loan - SKM) to the local bank.

• Dissemination of the information of shrimp aquaculture technology and know-how to the farmers via The Mobile Technical Unit;

• Collecting and compiling the information on shrimp aquaculture industry production and crab culture and production data in Negara Brunei Darussalam.
